Previewing Campaigns

Before publishing, you can preview exactly how your campaign will look and behave on your actual website.

Live preview

The Campaign Studio editor includes a built-in preview that shows your campaign rendered on your website:
1

Open the preview

In the campaign editor, click the Preview button or toggle to preview mode.
2

See it on your site

The preview loads your actual website with the campaign overlaid. This shows you exactly what visitors will see.
3

Test different pages

If your campaign targets specific pages, navigate to those pages in the preview to verify the campaign appears correctly.
4

Check responsive design

Resize the preview window or use device toggles to verify your campaign looks good on desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.

What to check

  • Visual design — Does the campaign match your site’s look and feel?
  • Text and CTAs — Are all links and buttons correct?
  • Positioning — Is the campaign placed where you intended?
  • Responsiveness — Does it work well on all screen sizes?
  • Targeting — Does it show up only on the intended pages?
Preview your campaign on the most important pages of your site — especially the homepage and any pages you’re specifically targeting.

Preview vs. production

The preview shows an accurate representation of your campaign, but some behaviors may differ slightly:
  • Timing triggers (e.g., “show after 5 seconds”) may not activate in preview mode
  • Frequency capping (e.g., “show once per visitor”) is not enforced in preview
  • URL parameter targeting can be tested by adding parameters to the preview URL
Changes you make in the editor are reflected in the preview in real time — you don’t need to save first.
